Addison Internal Medicine is excited to welcome Dr. Phuong Tran, M.D. to our Addison clinic on Aug. 22! Dr. Tran will be joining our team of Primary Care and Internal Medicine specialists that provide care to patients with common illnesses in the North Dallas area.
What is Internal Medicine?
Internal medicine is a medical specialty that treats a wide range of common illnesses in adult women and men. Some of the most common conditions they diagnose and treat are back pain, sleep disorders, and heart disease. Primary Care doctors will perform physical exams and provide advice for all to live a happier and healthier life.
Dr. Phuong Tran, M.D., earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston. He then received his Doctor of Medicine from UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2006.
After medical school, Dr. Tran completed his residency at the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He is American Board of Internal Medicine Certified in Internal Medicine and he has held his Texas State Medical License since 2009.
Dr. Tran has published research in numerous medical journals including the Internal Journal of Pharmaceutics and by the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. Some of his research includes topics like the Physicochemical factors affecting the stability of a pH-modulated solid dispersion and Design and the mechanism of on-off pulsed drug release using nonenteric polymeric systems.
Dr. Phuong Tran brings in over 10 years of practicing experience to the Dallas area. He speaks both English and Spanish and the medical team at Addison Internal Medicine is excited to have another experienced internal medicine doctor on staff.
